Woman injured during Boat Week parade

Times Herald
A woman was injured during the Boat Week parade.

The Rotary International Day Parade was interrupted around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in downtown Port Huron after a spectator's foot was run over by a parade float.

Port Huron Police Sgt. Jason Barna said the spectator was reaching for beads when she got too close to one of the floats.

"She was reaching for beads," he said, "and the wheel ran over her ankle or foot."

Barna said the woman's injuries were not serious.
